Properly preparing your recyclables not only helps the environment but also ensures your visit to the depot is quick and efficient. By following a few simple guidelines, you help maintain the quality of the recycled materials and speed up the sorting process.
Clean & Prep: Hygiene is the first step. Please ensure all containers are completely empty and rinsed out to prevent contamination. However, you don't need to worry about the small details—feel free to leave all tabs and labels right where they are.
To make your drop-off experience as smooth as possible, we recommend pre-sorting your items before you arrive. If possible, separate your containers by size (keep items 1L and under separate from those over 1L). Once sized, organize them by type: cans, plastics, glass, and pouches.
